Managed care giant Aetna retains Study Hall for Medicare Part D member research

Hartford (CT)-based Aetna has contracted Study Hall Research to conduct member experience qualitative research with current members and related populations. The research will focus on Medicare Part D coverage and how that coverage is assessed within the greater context of the overall managed care experience.

Addressing this new client engagement, Rob Iles (Partner – Managing Director, Study Hall) said ‘Aetna is a very well-established and industry-leading brand in the healthcare and managed care categories. To be selected for this assignment is a privilege for Study Hall, but also a strong confirmation of our expertise in primary healthcare research. We continue to refine and evolve our techniques and methods for regulatory compliance, member experience and satisfaction and other types of healthcare research, and this Aetna assignment will take maximum advantage of those key Study Hall skillsets.’

Iles added ‘Since its inception, Study Hall has continued to grow our very strong healthcare and managed care business unit. Our clients in this SBU now include 10 of the top 25 US managed care providers, and 4 of the top 10 prescription drug plan (PDP) providers. This ongoing growth reflects our knowledge and expertise regarding managed care and key audiences, but also our strong ability to quickly and effectively field client research and deliver timely, substantive and actionable results. Adding Aetna to this growing client roster underscores these core competencies.’

Eric Cahow (Head of Medicare STARS, Aetna) said ‘It is important that our research partners demonstrate critical capabilities: knowledge, resourcefulness, tenacity, strategic focus, and an ability to translate research findings into clear and concise implications. Selecting Study Hall Research was relatively easy for us, because they bring all those qualities and skillsets to the table, and are also a very easy consultancy to work with. We value their experience and their upbeat and forward momentum on any project. And we look forward to valuable insights from this research.’
